What is KTM Series?

Day hikes (twice a month) and trail races (once a month – on hold at the moment) in the outskirts of Kathmandu Valley. These are not run-of-the-mill trails, rather we’ve spent several months scouting to ensure fun, safety, wilderness and a chance to experience culture and lifestyle, suitable for families and kids, and for people of all fitness levels. Escape the chaos, and join likeminded folks on these easy, soft adventures on the grand hills you see in the horizon. Enjoy fresh air, greenery, great views, old villages, rivers, lakes, what have you.. a perfect and healthy getaway for you and your loved ones!

Hike Reviews »

These hikes were one of the absolute highlights of my entire 4 years in Kathmandu!

Hannah Straw

Bravo! They know the best part of Kathmandu for hiking. All of the team members are professional, friendly, punctual pick up time and have great sense of humor.

Eka Fana

The hike was absolutely fantastic. Great team, great views and landscape, professional organization, super care... You guys do a perfect job. It can't get more professional than that.

Caolin Spannuth Verma

The pre-info about the hike, communication and pick-up points were well explained and clear. The organizers had really made a lot of effort to ensure a good hiking experience, regarding the path, snack and lunch and accommodating the pace to the group. I highly recommend hikes by KTM Series!

Silja Kanerva

They know the best trails in Kathmandu valley, honed with week after week of recce hiking. Together they bring some of the best crew and do not compromise on the quality of service.

Raj Gyawali

Valley Hikes by KTM Series along with their trail races are extremely well-organized. The hikes are a wonderful way to explore the outskirts of Kathmandu.

Niranjan Kunwar

Thanks for organizing it so well with pick-up, lunch, water and snacks! So many beautiful scenes with diverse walking routes.

Zarina Trapman

In just over a year, it has become the center of a wide and diverse community. Few events with this much complexity manage to feel both so well organized and so personal at the same time.

Thank you for a really nice run, excellent route and, as always, so many good people. KTM Series is really turning into one of the major highlights of living in Nepal.

Nic Raastrup

My son Daniel (aged 9) got gold medal twice for racing and he is still proud of this, in fact it has boosted his confidence so much! Naomi (7) got silver and they still have their medals hanging in their rooms.
